Decor of the Week: Chene Brasero

A dark, wood-effect laminate, Chene Brasero looks and feels like natural wood, thanks to its linimat finish, giving the surface a matt, lined texture that replicates bark.

In a full sheet, Chene Brasero is a planked timber, with realistic knots and markings that create an intricate depth and replicate real wood – meaning it works for a range of looks outlined in the Wilsonart UK 2020 Trend Report.

The black wood effect of Chene Brasero is available as a Zenith worktop, as well as a laminate worktop, and is particularly suited to a contemporary kitchen design where worktops are long, kitchen islands are central and surfaces run into the horizon to create a feeling of illusive space.

In a minimalist kitchen, Chene Brasero adds texture to a palette of black, grey and white. The Illusive Space trend is all about making the space feel bigger, using uncluttered surfaces to create zones in a multi-functional kitchen. A Chene Brasero island with charcoal fascias, dark grey flooring and light grey walls creates a minimalist, fuss free setting.

With a Zenith surface in Chene Brasero, an undermount sink and integrated drainer grooves are sleek additions that create a seamless finish.
